Ondo Election : Magical Wand of Akinola Awodeyi-Akinsehinwa Delivers Victory for APC In Owo

After the re-election of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa by INEC as the validly elected Governor of Ondo State in the polls held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 ; facts have also emerged that Owo Local Government Area returned the second highest number of votes for the APC.

According to the results declared by INEC, the APC candidate scored 31,914 votes to defeat the PDP candidate who came a distant second with 4,750 votes. The total number of valid votes delivered for the APC candidate in Owo, was only 1,055 behind that of Akure South Local Government, which gave the highest number of votes to the APC across Ondo State.

Meanwhile, this landslide victory could be said to have been made possible by the ingenious efforts and leadership provided by Dr.Akinola Awodeyi-Akinsehinwa
the Director General of Aiyedatiwa-Adelami Campaign Council in Owo Local Government Area.

Aside the fact that the deputy governorship candidate of APC, Dr. Olaide Adelami hails from Owo, the campaign Director General did so well to have ensured that thousands of voters trooped out within Owo town and from all the suburbs to cast their votes for the APC.

Apata, is a former governorship aspirant, and he is known to be a major grassroots mobilizer. He is also known to be a loyal and committed member of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Owo Local Government. The consummate politician is also known to be a major rallying point for members of the APC within Owo and across Ondo State.

Speaking on the victory of Governor Aiyedatiwa, and the landslide victory of APC in Owo town; Apata said the empathic victory of the APC in Owo did not come as a surprise after all.He added that the almost 32,000 votes scored by the APC in Owo was as a result of hard work, commitment and collaborative efforts of all APC stakeholders in the town.

He however thanked the good people of Owo that turned out in their thousands to vote for the governorship candidate of the APC, Governor Aiyedatiwa on Saturday, November 16, 2024. He further said that his target as the Campaign DG in Owo, was to ensure that Owo Local Government would give the highest number votes for the APC across Ondo State.

“I could not have been happier with the overwhelming score of APC in Owo. This shows that our people are truly united, cooperative and aligned on unity of purpose. I am so glad that my efforts as the D. G of this election in Owo Local Government has yielded the desired result. My special thank you goes to all the leaders of APC in Owo, and to all APC members and supporters. We had targeted to give the highest number of valid votes to APC in Ondo State; but we eventually came second behind Akure South with 1055 votes. Even with this, I feel very proud of that we delivered the second highest votes for APC in Ondo State. “

Mranwhile, Apata had boosted that Owo had now become a fortress and a slaughter base for the APC. He assured that the APC was firmly positioned in Owo to put up even better performance in any future election.
